My name is Oyinkansola Jegede, but most people know me as Sparkle.
I’ve always been drawn to stories, the kind that sit quietly with you, the kind that make you feel seen, the kind that remind you that your voice matters. Somewhere along the way, that curiosity turned into a life built around voice, media, and meaningful conversation.
My journey into broadcasting and journalism began with training at the National Broadcast Academy, and over time, I found my way through radio, television, and content production, learning not just how to speak, but how to listen. From early training at TVC Communications, to writing at Max FM 102.3, and hosting and production roles at City FM 105.1 and Crowther 88.5FM, I’ve worn many hats: presenter, writer, voice-over artist, and storyteller. Each role taught me the same lesson, clarity connects, and intention gives words their power.
I also host the “What’s Trending” podcast, where I explore pop culture, social conversations, and the everyday stories that shape how we think and feel. It’s a space where curiosity leads, and honesty is never optional.
Being a law graduate has shaped how I approach communication, with structure, confidence, and purpose, while my experience in project management helps me bring ideas to life in a way that is both creative and grounded.
Whether I’m behind a microphone, on a stage, or in a room full of people, my goal remains the same: to create moments that resonate, conversations that linger, and stories that feel real.

Fronted “What’s Trending?” ; a fast-paced current affairs and entertainment show, co-hosted the discussion-driven “This Is My Take,” lent my voice to station promos, show intros, and commercials, and wrote and presented news bulletins that kept listeners informed and engaged.
Joined the production unit, handling multiple commercial voice-overs, prepared and ran the weekly show segment “Tweet Trend” on City Breakfast, became a recurring weekly member of “Bimbo and The Gang” on The Rundown, and assisted in the production and recording of daily news, keeping every segment smooth and engaging.
Created and hosted a podcast exploring pop culture, real-life stories, and social issues, diving into trending topics in Nigeria, from lifestyle trends to major entertainment buzz, crafting every episode from writing to editing and promotion, and captivating listeners with relatable insights, compelling guest features, and storytelling that resonates.
Developed and delivered captivating daily content for the radio station, sparked fresh and creative ideas for on-air segments, managed diverse show content, and smoothly coordinated guests and daily broadcast activities to keep every show flowing.
Streamlined office operations by preparing and refining documents, supporting criminal defense and personal injury cases, conducting legal research and writing, managing client intake and files, and taking on administrative tasks, from answering calls to personal assistant duties, keeping the office running smoothly.
Dove into research for project articles, crafted and polished content through writing, editing, and proofreading, attended events as directed by the head of Apex Network, verified facts with precision, and conducted interviews with to capture authentic insights.
Worked closely with Mrs. Chichi Okolahum, producer of E-Splash (Entertainment Splash), supporting key show activities, honed skills in scriptwriting and communication, and partnered daily on creating scripts that brought each segment to life during the internship.
